Police are commending the bravery of the victims - following the sentencing of a prolific sexual abuse case

Police are commending the bravery of the victims - following the sentencing of a prolific sexual abuse case

Liam Nixon has been jailed for three-years and 10-months by a Greymouth District Court judge today.

The 27-year-old is convicted for sexual abuse and online sexual material charges against four victims.

That includes indecent assault on a boy when he was 10.

Detective senior sergeant Kirsten Norton says police acknowledge the significant trauma for the victims and their families.

She says they're grateful to everyone involved in this case, who helped them reach today's outcome.
