Christchurch Shirley Boys' concerned they can't afford upgrades after an inquiry deems modern classes unfit for learning

Christchurch Shirley Boys' concerned they can't afford upgrades after an inquiry deems modern classes unfit for learning

The High School moved to open plan teaching five years ago.

Now, two thirds of year thirteen's report their learning's been negatively impacted as a result.

Headmaster Tim Grocott says they're planning to reintroduce enclosed learning - but the Ministry of Education will need to help.

Grocotts says although they have some money, it's not going to be nearly enough.
