The Kiwi's season-opening victory at the LPGA's Tournament of Champions in Florida has put her just one point adrift of the 27-point threshold needed to qualify.
The 26-year-old has six months to overtake Inbee Park as the youngest ever inductee.
12-time pro winner Greg Turner says it won't be a concern of Ko's, but her impact will continue to be felt here.
