A slew of first-choice All Blacks are set to be rested for Saturday's test against Australia in Dunedin

A slew of first-choice All Blacks are set to be rested for Saturday's test against Australia in Dunedin

The New Zealand Herald is reporting that the team to be announced tomorrow will be missing all three Barrett brothers, regular starting props Ethan De Groot and Tyrel Lomax, centre Reiko Ioane, winger Mark Telea and in-form blindside flanker Shannon Frizell.

Chiefs' outside back Shaun Stevenson is apparently one of three debutants - alongside No 6 Samipeni Finau and midfielder Dallas McLeod, who is set to be unleashed from the bench.

Captain Sam Cane is reportedly back from his neck issue...and the record-breaking locking combination of Sam Whitelock and Brodie Retallick will be reunited for their final home test.

It's expected to also be a fond farewell for Aaron Smith, Dane Coles and Richie Mo'unga from the reserves bench, with other departing players Leicester Fainga'anuku and Nepo Laulala set to be named in the starting 15.
