    Three police officers have been treated for smoke inhalation, after a desperate effort to save people from a burning car in Hamilton


    BB has the details...

    Officers were called to Ulster Street around 3.45 and found a scene involving a truck and a car, which then caught fire.

    They managed two pull two of occupants free...they're both in hospital with critical injuries.

    Two others couldn't be saved, and both died at the scene.

    The road is closed while the Serious Crash Unit examines the scene.
