    More details have been confirmed, about the death of a competitor at Saturday's Iron Maori event in Napier


    Emergency services were called after a person died during the swim leg of the multisport event.

    Police have confirmed the woman was 50-year-old Rachel James, of Auckland's South Head.

    They've referred her death to the Coroner.

    Local iwi have put a rahui in place, asking people to refrain from swimming, fishing and boating in the Napier area.
