A good news day for Fonterra shareholders

A good news day for Fonterra shareholders

    Fonterra
    Fonterra
First half profit is up 23-percent due to higher margins in its food service and consumer business, and higher sales volumes.

The interim dividend has risen from 10 to 15 cents per share.

The Country's Jamie McKay says shareholders are going to get a good return on their investment.

He says some wise dairy farmers have been buying up shares while they were cheaper, because they knew the return would be good.

The forecast Farmgate Milk Price has narrowed, but the midpoint remains unchanged at 7-dollars-80.
