Police are warning owners of rooftop tents on Auckland's North Shore - to beware of thefts

Police are warning owners of rooftop tents on Auckland's North Shore - to beware of thefts

Ten have been reported stolen this year -- already half the number for all of 2023.

Thieves are using power tools to cut them off roof-racks.

Police advise storing them elsewhere, parking in a garage, or planting a tracking device inside.

People buying second-hand tents should check their validity.
