    China have beaten the New Zealand women's basketballers 94-47 in the first game of the Olympic Qualifiers in Xi'an


    The Tall Ferns struggled against the size and defensive presence of the 2022 World Cup runners-up in front of a raucous home crowd.

    New Zealand's top-scorer was Esra McGoldrick with 11 points.

    They next play Puerto Rico on Sunday morning, starting at midnight.
