Fears Wellington's warming housing market - could be knocked by public service job cuts

Fears Wellington's warming housing market - could be knocked by public service job cuts

Real Estate Institute data shows the capital's house prices rose 0.6 percent in the April quarter, and numbers of buyers and sellers also went up.

Chief Executive Jen Baird says that trend may not last.

She says we're still in challenging economic times, and talks of more job cuts will make people pause property decisions.
