The disability sector says the Government should address chronic under-funding and under-resourcing

The disability sector says the Government should address chronic under-funding and under-resourcing

A letter from the Disabled Persons Assembly - backed by 52 organisations - is calling for a reversal of restrictions on funding for support and services, announced in March.

The DPA says it's caused widespread uncertainty and distress.

Chief Executive, Mojo Mathers says new rules for things like modification services - mean some people have improperly fitted equipment, like wheelchairs.

She says there needs to be significant investment in the lives and wellbeing of the disabled and their families.
