A pick up in properties hitting the market

A pick up in properties hitting the market

Real Estate Institute data shows sales activity lifted in almost all regions last month compared to April 2023, and year-on-year pricing is edging up.

The national median sale price increased by 1.3 percent year-on-year, to $790-thousand.

Chief Executive Jen Baird says it's hard to compare against April 2023.

She says they'll have to see how the next few months play out to see a definite shift, as the first few months of 2023 saw the property market heavily impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle.
