Rita Ora says Beyoncé is like "family" as they posed for a selfie at the Met Gala.

The 'Body On Me' singer - who stunned at the red carpet event in New York City in a beautiful Vera Wang metallic dress - took to Snapchat on Monday evening to further slam claims she had an affair with Jay Z.

In the sweet photo, the pair clearly seem to be enjoying themselves as they smiled for the camera.

And Beyoncé - who attended the event without her husband this year - received mixed reviews for her latex Givenchy gown.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old singer was accused of having a relationship with the 'Empire State of Mind' rapper after Beyoncé hinted her husband had cheated on her with "Becky with the good hair" on her latest LP, 'Lemonade'.

Defending herself after she was linked to Jay Z, Rita wrote on Twitter: "I never usually address tabloid gossip but let me be clear, these rumours are false. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Beyoncé. Let's continue enjoying Lemonade."

Rita was initially thought to be the girl referred to in the songs when she posted a number of cryptic photographs on Snapchat soon after the release of the mother-of-one's latest record.

In one picture, she donned a skimpy bikini with a lemon print hiding her modesty whilst in another, she wore a gold necklace with the initial 'J' on it.

During a HBO show to promote her new LP, Beyoncé unveiled some of the tracks, with one song featuring the lyrics: "Looking at my watch he should have been home. I regret the day I put that ring on ...

"My daddy warned me about men like you cause every promise, don't work out that way. Nothing seems to hurt like the smile on your face."
