Nick and Joe Jonas got matching tattoos ahead of the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night.

The siblings may have hit the stage at the glamorous ceremony, held at Madison Square Garden in New York, separately last night but they were determined to get something done as a duo just before their solo moments.

Taking to his Snapchat account ahead of the star-studded event in the Big Apple, Nick recorded his older brother getting an arrow carved into his flesh by a body artist before it was his turn to take to the parlour chair for his ink.

The 23-year-old hunk got his design on his left bicep, pointing out, while his brother got the same on the right.

He later uploaded a photograph on his social networking site of their body art alongside the caption: "Boom"

Meanwhile, Nick later took to the stage to perform a rendition of 'Bacon' alongside Ty Dolla Sign while Joe and his new band DNCE collected their prize for Best New Artist.

It's an exciting time for Joe and his new group as he recently revealed they would be joining Selena Gomez on the UK leg of her world tour later this year.

His love life is also looking up as it's believed he's dating Brazilian model Daiane Sodré following his heartbreaking split from Gigi Hadid, who left him to romance Zayn Malik, last year.

A source said recently: "Joe is super happy with Daiane. They've been together for a while now.

"He's pretty content with the relationship which is out of character for him."
