The boss of Horowhenua District Council is condemning a rise in abusive behaviour towards staff

Last week a parking warden was allegedly physically assaulted while on the job.

During that same week, there were also two separate incidents of negative behaviour towards council staff -- including the filming of them during their lunch breaks.

All three issues resulted in police being called.

Monique Davidson says abuse towards staff is getting worse.

She says while it was a week filled of incidents -- it reflects a pattern of behaviour over the past year.
