    Police have made four arrests and issued 17 speeding fines during a blitz in Manawatu


    The operation took place between 6pm last night and 4am.

    The four were arrested for driving while disqualified, failing to stop, drink driving and endangering transport.

    Officers also stopped a fleeing driver in a stolen vehicle.

    They issued 11 WOF and registration fines, two license breaches and two alcohol infringements.

    Six vehicles were impounded - and a number of other stickers given.
