The AA says more steps are needed to help prevent further drink driving incidents

Provisional figures show Police took more than three million tests in 2023 -- up by more than a quarter the year before.
The road safety body is calling for more high-visible testing, and using in-car breathalysers for high-risk people.
AA Road safety spokesperson Dylan Thomsen says a lot of drivers who get caught, also end up in the throngs of the courts
He says if they don't get specialist treatment as part of the court process, it's really likely they'll be back out on the roads driving drunk.
