Alternative proteins are set to change the farming landscape in New Zealand

Research by The AgriBusiness Group shows the new protein sources may have minimal impacts on agriculture by 2035 - but could be significant by 2050.
Countries dependent on importing food from New Zealand will increasingly be able to produce alternatives to animal protein as technology develops.
Researcher Jon Manhire says farmers shouldn't be worried about the alternatives at the moment
He says they'll service the increasing demand for protein - but won't impact the traditional meat and dairy supply chain.
