Silver Ferns captain Ameliaranne Ekenasio wants a two-point shot introduced to the ANZ Premiership starting this weekend

Netball New Zealand indicated last year that such a move was one of their considerations to make the competition more entertaining.

The move could have a wider impact, given a view that the Silver Ferns were exposed at last year's World Cup by a reluctance to shoot from range.

Ekenasio is pointing to the success of the rule across the Tasman.
