A man's been arrested after he returned to the scene of a burglary committed the previous night in Auckland's Mount Wellington

Police received reports of a man, believed to be the offender in a burglary the night prior, re-entering the Penrose Road address this morning.

The man fled after being confronted by an occupant at the address, but police found him a short time later.

He will appear in court on Friday.
