    Wairoa residents can expect an increased police presence in the Hawke's Bay town after three people were seriously injured this morning


    Officers received reports of two people being assaulted by someone they know at a Queen Street address about 4.40am.

    While searching for the suspect - Police were called to a reported stabbing 10 minutes later at a commercial address on Marine Parade.

    All three victims are now in a stable condition in hospital.

    A man's been arrested and will be interviewed this morning.
