A former US police officer has been found guilty of reckless endangerment, after the fatal shooting of Christchurch man Christian Glass
27 April 2024
The 22-year-old died in June 2022, after being shot by former officer Andrew Buen -- when he called 911 for roadside assistance.
The Clear Creek County Sheriff's office claims Glass was shot after he became "argumentative and uncooperative", and tried to stab an officer when police broke a car window to grab him.
The jury was also unable to reach a guilty verdict of second-degree murder, or misconduct.
In a statement, Glass' parents have thanked the jury and District Attorney for their efforts, and hope no other family will experience what they did.
