Qantas has reached a settlement with Australia's consumer watchdog over flight cancellations

Qantas has reached a settlement with Australia's consumer watchdog over flight cancellations

It sued the airline over claims it sold more than eight-thousand tickets in 2022, for more than two weeks after the flights weren't available.

Subject to Federal Court approval, Qantas will have to pay affected customers up to 450-Australian dollars each, and a civil penalty of 100-million-Australian-dollars.
