Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury Fine, apart from showers about Banks Peninsula with snow to 400 metres later today. Otago, Southland and Fiordland Scattered showers, with some hail in east, easing this evening. Snow to 400 metres. Southwest gales, gusting 100 km/h about the coast. Chatham Islands Showers developing this morning, some heavy with hail.
