An Auckland car dealership and its owner have been fined a combined 12-thousand dollars for breaching the Fair Trading Act

One Dollar Reserve Cars Limited and Adam Cooper were fined, after both pleading guilty to eight charges.
Six of the charges were for Trade Me listings, which falsely claimed the Consumer Guarantees Act didn't apply to Trade Me sales.
The remaining 10 charges were for failing to display or provide access to Consumer Information Notices.
