A cryptocurrency expert has shed some light on what could've gone wrong for customers of hacked company Cryptopia

Police are investigating after the Christchurch-based trading company suffered a security breach.
Cryptopia hasn't confirmed the amount taken - but transactions show nearly six million New Zealand dollars worth of digital currencies has been transferred.
Ross Carter-Brown - CEO of another Kiwi-based cryptocurrency exchange, Bitprime - says many investors are treating exchanges like banks, which can make events like this more likely.
He says people should withdraw cryptocurrency immediately after making their exchanges.
