Otago is the country's fastest-growing regional economy - or the first time since records began

The region's GDP rose 8.6-percent in the year to March, led by the Queenstown housing boom and strong lamb prices.
Waikato's economy grow 7.5-percent, and the Tasman-Nelson districts grew 7.3-percent.
By contrast, Canterbury's economy only grew 4.5-percent.
The national average increase was 5.5-percent.
