Evidence of mast bumping has been found in another Robinson helicopter crash

The Transport Accident and Investigation Commission has released an interim report into a fatal incident near Wanaka in July.
It's found evidence of mast bumping with the Robinson helicopter.
Mast bumping is contact between an inner part of a main rotor mechanism and the main rotor drive shaft.
The Commission has previously raised concerns about Robinson helicopters mast bumping accidents.
Chief Commissioner Jane Meares says no new safety issue has been identified and mast bumping is always a concern.
