57-year-old Timaru man Stephen Heppleston pleaded guilty in February to one charge of importing a prohibited item - and one of possessing an indecent publication.
The package which contained the life-like doll was sent from China - but was intercepted by Customs last year.
Heppleston appeared in the Timaru District Court today for sentencing.
The case was adjourned until the September 26.
Judge Joanna Maze says it won't be pushed back a third time.
