It says the highest maximum temperature was at Timaru, on the 6th February 2011, when it hit 41.3 degrees
The coldest spot in the past decade was Tara Hills which hit minus minus 21 degrees on the 24th of June 2015
The highest one-day rainfall of 869 mm hit Cropp at Waterfall on the west coast on 2nd January 2013
And surprisingly, Gore had the sunniest single day of the decade; with 15.3 hours of bright sunshine on the 23rd December 2018
