In Auckland, Police cleared a group blocking a border checkpoint north of Auckland, which included an officer being bitten.
Enforcement action hasn't been ruled out over either protest.
Auckland Police also monitored a group of about 100 outside Government House, in Epsom, for several hours.
Smaller groups gathered in Balclutha, Tauranga, Invercargill and Whangarei as well.
