Police have been monitoring protest activity across the country today

Police have been monitoring protest activity across the country today

Hundreds of people marched to Parliament in Wellington, breaching a gate to get on the forecourt.

In Auckland, Police cleared a group blocking a border checkpoint north of Auckland, which included an officer being bitten.

Enforcement action hasn't been ruled out over either protest.

Auckland Police also monitored a group of about 100 outside Government House, in Epsom, for several hours.

Smaller groups gathered in Balclutha, Tauranga, Invercargill and Whangarei as well.
