The Phoenix have notched up a second win of their A-League campaign after toppling Adelaide 2-1 in Wellington

The 'Nix led one-nil at half-time after captain Alex Rufer scored his first goal of the season.

Ramy Najjarine put the Phoenix further ahead with his first goal in Wellington colours from the penalty spot.

Adelaide then nabbed a goal to set up a nervy finish.

Phoenix coach Giancarlo Italiano is disappointed with how they ended the game.
