Police remain tight-lipped over the prosecution of the woman at the centre of the Jevon McSkimming scandal

Police remain tight-lipped over the prosecution of the woman at the centre of the Jevon McSkimming scandal

Instead of investigating her accusations that the former Deputy Commissioner was a sexual predator, police charged the woman for online digital harassment.

They have since dropped those charges, with McSkimming last week admitting to possessing child sexual exploitation and bestiality material.

However the woman is still being charged for allegedly sending abusive emails to the officer in charge of the original prosecution - and his wife.

Herald Investigative reporter Jared Savage says he wants answers.

But he suspects the Police will say the case is out of their hands - with it being referred on to an independent barrister.
