Data shows Black Friday sales were busy - but spending was down on last year

Worldline, formerly Paymark, says non-food spending reached 55.6 million dollars, surpassing the Easter Sunday high of 49.1 million.
That's 6.2 percent down on last year.
Worldline NZ chief sales officer Bruce Proffit says merchants will no doubt be hoping people will spend more in the weeks up to Christmas.
