Immigration New Zealand's management is being criticised after a 50 million dollar budget blowout

It's proposing a hike in immigration fees and levies, by as much as 54 percent to cover the deficit.
The idea's been slammed by Tourism Industry, Aotearoa.
CEO Chris Roberts is disappointed there's no sign of improved efficiency and cost-savings.
He says a lot of money is being invested in Immigration NZ, with the aim of having greater efficiencies, but they are not materialising.
He says instead we are seeing visas being hiked.
