Farmers have agreed to an increase in levies on sheepmeat and beef

The money will be used for promotion, helping the sector lift its environmental performance and reputation, and for biosecurity issues.
From the beginning of October the levy will increase by 10 cents to 70 cents a head for sheep, and by 80 cents to five dollars 20 per head of beef.
