A Christchurch man has pleaded guilty to stabbing his former partner to death outside her work in broad daylight

Keshni Naicker was attacked by Shui Prasad outside Ilam LifeCare in September

Her new partner, Asveen Sharan was also stabbed in the frenzied attack and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The 52-year-old attacker declared 'we are going to die together." before turning the knife on himself

Today at Christchurch High Court Prasad admitted charges of murder and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He will be sentenced next month
