Businesses are under threat in Invercargill, where a fire bug is at work

A spate of suspicious fires have flared up throughout the city centre, with the potential to cause serious damage.

Senior station officer Aaron Ramsey says they're not sure if one person, or a group of people are responsible.

He says some young people were caught lighting branches from a tree, which then set a ticket booth alight.
