The more than 90-year-old Auckland Fish Market reopens today after a major makeover.
It's been gutted, refurbished and replaced with eight new eateries and a courtyard bar.
The market is owned by Sanford whose Chief Customer Officer Andre Gargiulo says a traditional fishmonger is at the heart of the complex.
One thing that hasn't changed is the morning fish auction - the catch of the day will still be up for grabs at six every morning.
