Emergency services are relieved three teenage boys are safe and well after being swept out to sea in Kapiti

They were playing on small inflatable toy rafts when they ended up 400 metres offshore.
The Westpac Rescue helicopter, Coastguard, and Surf Lifesaving were also called to the rescue.
But the teens were fortunately able to get back to shore on their own.
Acting Sergeant Kieran Rawlinson says the operation took a lot of resources but emergency services are relieved they were stood down.
He says it could have been three boys not going home.
