A passenger's been left covered in glass after a double decker bus crashed into the corner of a shop roof in Auckland
17 January 2019
The bus was travelling on Dominion Road when it clipped a veranda roof around 8am.
The crash smashed an upper level window on the double decker bus and cracked the upper windscreen.
A man sitting seven seats from the broken window says an older woman sitting in the front seat was covered in glass and it was all through her hand bag.
An Auckland Transport spokesman says the veranda is now being cut back to provide more space for double decker buses.
