    Fonterra has confirmed Miles Hurrell will be its permanent chief executive

    He's been interim CEO since August last year.

    Fonterra chairman John Monaghan says the board has been impressed with Hurrell's leadership and commercial skills.

    He says Hurrell has been performing particularly well under difficult circumstances.

    Monaghan says Hurrell is continuing to breathe fresh air into Fonterra and is resetting its business direction.
