29 people remain in hospital following last Friday's attacks - eight of those in a critical condition in intensive care.
Among them, a four-year girl who has since been transported to Auckland's Starship Hospital.
Canterbury District Health Board CEO David Meates says Christchurch Hospital is busier than ever, but services are operating as normally as possible.
