A mail centre heist could leave patients in the dark about their appointments during the doctors' strike
26 April 2019
The theft from DX Mail's East Tamaki distribution centre happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Thieves took letters informing East Auckland, Papatoetoe, and Otara patients of appointment changes during the junior doctors' strike which starts Monday.
Counties Manukau DHB Central Clinical Services manager, Ian Dodson, says they're urgently re-sending the mail, and patients will also be alerted to any changes via text.
