Court hears opening arguments in Auckland school teacher indecent act case
A court's heard opening arguments in the case of an Auckland school teacher accused of committing an indecent act on seven boys
30 April 2019
Benjamin Swann is on trial in the High Court on 10 charges of doing an indecent act.
Fifty-five year old Swann has taught at a number of Auckland schools over 30 years.
The prosecutor told jurors the allegations from each boy are similar, and it's not the result of collusion between the boys.
Swann's lawyer, Sam Wimsett, says his client denies the allegations 100 percent - and the jurors' job is to spot the lies.
The trial's expected to last three weeks.
