Jack Bauer feels he's winding back the clock a bit as he embarks on a rare Giro d' Italia campaign

The kiwi cyclist was a late inclusion in the Mitchelton-Scott line-up for the tour, having last competed in the Giro early in his elite professional career in 2012.
Bauer says he has fond memories from his 2012 ride with Garmin Sharp to spur him on.
In the opening time-trial Bauer finished in 46th position, while Primoz Roglic has claimed the leaders pink jersey.
