Colin Munro and Martin Guptill have failed to set the world on fire at the tournament.
Ken Rutherford says the hope is Munro will eventually come right in one innings with the way he plays.
He says the flip side is if Munro and Guptill are out within the first 10 overs then the pressure that it puts on Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor will eventually become too much.
Rutherford says he's tempted to move the out-of-sorts Tom Latham up to open alongside Guptill.
