New research aims to reduce the effects of methamphetamine on women, babies and young children

A Victoria University research team has secured funding for the project from the Health Research Council.
The team will work in partnership with Ngati Pahauwera to better understand the impact of meth use in the Hawke's Bay town of Wairoa.
Professor Bev Lawton says iwi is particularly interested in what can be done to help pregnant women and their family.
