    Donald Trump's potential Democratic candidates line up for opening debate, live blog

    Ten Democrat candidates took the stage in Miami, debating why they should become the party's nominee to take on Donald Trump in 2020 — and the President was watching.


    Democrats have held the first debate of the 2020 presidential primary in Miami, Florida.

    Ten candidates took the stage tonight, and another ten will face off tomorrow night.
