NZ batsman Ross Taylor responds to calls by former captain for Black Caps to be more aggressive
New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor has responded to calls by former captain Brendon McCullum for the Black Caps to be more aggressive with their tactics at the cricket World Cup
3 July 2019
The side meets England tonight in their final round robin match at Durham - a win would guarantee a place in the semi-finals.
Taylor says this team has to be true to themselves, rather than emulating the McCullum era.
He says McCullum will be aggressive regardless of the situation because of his personality.
If New Zealand lose tonight they should still make it to the last four via net run rate unless they're defeated in spectacular fashion, and Pakistan beat Bangladesh in similar circumstances on Saturday morning.
